Italian stiletto

Copy of a circa 1650 Italian stiletto in a private collection. The stiletto was widespread in the period when upper-class civilian dress often incorporated light maille or brigandine body armor, and upper-class interpersonal politics included a lot of assasination and back-stabbing. Triangular hollow ground blade, buffalo horn grip. The pommel and guard finials are spiral carved pinecones. Matching sheath included. Tempered steel blade, solid tang construction.
