Designed by Hans Holbein and a favorite of Swiss (and German!) mercenaries in the 16th centuries, this is a great sidearm that every Landsknecht should want to carry. This was known in the 1500s both as a Holbein dagger or as a Swiss dagger.
The double-edged blade of this fine reproduction is 1065 high carbon steel tempered to 52RC, with a full tang under the hardwood grip. The sheath is leather with steel fittings.
