This great sword is a two-handed Danish war sword with an Oakeshott Type XVIIIe blade. The 1060 high carbon steel fully-sharpened flattened-diamond cross-sectioned blade has a long ricasso significantly narrower than the rest of the blade to aid in gripping half-sword style for fighting armored opponents. This massive sword will deliver dreadful blows and piercing thrusts. It has a thick downturned cross guard, a wire-wrapped hardwood hilt, a full tang, stainless steel fittings and a hot-peened type T scent stopper pommel. This sword dates from the 15th century, and is a wonderfully HUGE beast.
